Dirk Sandberg, age 77, of Hebron, IN, passed away on Sunday, December 20, 2009 at his home.
He is survived by his wife, Carol Ann Sandberg; son, Tom (Cindy) Sandberg of Kouts, IN; grandson, Michael Sandberg; sisters, Dorothy (Gene) Curtis and Winnie Winters of Michigan; brother, John (Mary) Sandberg of Valparaiso, IN; brother-in-law, Tom (Sue) Moeller of Des Plaines, IL; 2 nephews, Eric and Kevin Moeller and niece, Laura Byron.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Simon and Hilda Sandberg; step- son, Ronald Lovely; step-daughter, Cheryl Wiltfang; brother, Simon Sandberg and sister, Theresa Wade.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, December 22, 2009 at 2:00 PM at Geisen Funeral Home, 624 N. Main St., Hebron, IN, with Pastor William Hunter officiating. Interment at Hebron Cemetery in Hebron, IN.
Visitation will be held at Geisen Funeral Home, Hebron on Tuesday, December 22, 2009 from 12 Noon to 2:00 PM.
Mr. Sandberg was a member of the Nazarene Church of Demotte, IN, a member of the Porter Masonic Lodge #137 Valparaiso, IN, a lifetime member of Moose Lodge #437 in Valparaiso, IN, Scottish Rite Valley of South Bend, IN and was retired from Midwest Steel in Portage, IN.
Memorial donations may be made to the Nazarene Church of Demotte, IN.
