Josephine Elizabeth Burcham, age 83, of Crown Point, IN, passed away on Wednesday, February 10, 2010 at home.
Josephine is survived by her 3 sons: Michael Burcham of Lafayette, James W. Burcham of Hezibah, GA, Maverick (Karen) Burcham of Cedar Lake; 2 daughters: Linda Daniels of Lawton, OK, Geraldine (Gary) Mahr of Crown Point; 9 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren; 2 Sisters: Virginia (Harry) Davis of IL; Gladys (Perry) Melifont of MI; 1 Brother: Rudy (Sherlin) McConahay of CA; 1 sister-in-law: Fernetta (Tom) Burcham of IL and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband: Ernest Burcham; son: Gerald Burcham, grandsons: Jamie Burcham and Steven Daniels; daughter-in-law: Nell Burcham; 2 sisters: Clara McConahay and Mary Margaret Pitt.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, February 15, 2010 at 10:00 AM at Geisen Funeral-Cremation & Reception Centre (NOTE: NEW LOCATION-2 blocks east of Broadway) at 606 E. 113th Ave. Crown Point, IN with grandson, Sergeant Robert Daniels officiating. Services will conclude at the funeral home with cremation to follow.
Friends may visit with the family on Sunday, February 14, 2010 from 2:00 to 7:00 PM AT Geisen Funeral-Cremation & Reception Centre.
Josephine was born on December 29, 1926 in Vedersburg, IN to Rudolph and Mary McConahay. She was a charter member of the Crown Point Heritage Quilters and an avid reader.
Memorials may be given to St. Anthony Hospice, 203 Franciscan Dr., Crown Point, IN.
